If you have received an email regarding your Personal and Professional Development (PPD) requirements, please follow the guidance below based on your employment status.
Student Members: Refer to the FAQ starting with “I received an email to fill out PPD requirements for IFoA…” for detailed guidance on PPD requirements and exemptions.
Working in an Actuarial Role: Consult your seniors or reporting manager at your organisation regarding the required PPD hours, activities and submission process.
Working in a Non-Actuarial Role: You may apply for a PPD exemption by submitting your latest examination marksheet and explaining that you are currently seeking employment in the actuarial field. Exemption requests are subject to IFoA approval.
PPD and CPD Requirements: Student members who are subject to PPD requirements are generally exempt from separate Continuing Professional Development (CPD) requirements until they attain Associate status, subject to IFoA’s applicable rules.
